Ep. 35: Shobu Faces Imelda in a Hostage Rescue Duel While Hendrix Attacks
Imelda and Hendrix hold Rekuta hostage, challenging Shobu to a Kaijudo duel. Imelda, the Lucky Magical Duelist, uses Cosmic Darts and Shields to counter Shobu’s Bolmeteus Steel Dragon with Final Dragarmor Cross Gear. She demonstrates sending Cross Gear cards to the Graveyard using Drill Bowgun. Despite having zero Shields, Shobu wins with Bolberg Cross Dragon. Meanwhile, Kabutomaru Kuwagata distracts Hendrix with bananas, allowing Zerobal Holmes to save the falling Rekuta. Shobu thanks his allies and learns from Kabutomaru that Zerobal Holmes sent a message to wake him, urging Shobu to save Hakuoh first. As Kabutomaru departs, Hendrix emerges from the water, using armored gloves to forcibly steal the awakened Bolberg Cross Dragon. Zerobal Holmes stops Shobu from pursuing, claiming this helps locate The Fua Castle. Shobu’s deck begins to glow with the same light as the Awakening Card.
