Ep. 40: Shobu defeats Faust in a duel revealing the truth about the Fua Duelists and the collapsing bridge.
During a duel between Shobu and Faust, Faust blames Shobu for the current state of El Rio and Delicious, who joined the Fua Duelists after being offered shelter by Qumbeech and Perfect. While Dr. Root and Knight duel El Rio, Delicious, Bura, and Chappi, Bucketman, Yu, and Shizuka search for a source. In the main match, Faust uses Heavenly Gear - Daylight Deity and Glorious Heaven's Arm to summon an evolution creature atop a stacked Cross Gear. Despite Faust breaking Shobu's shield, Shobu activates Shield Trigger X Octillion Force and crosses Final Dragarmor onto his Metalchaos Dragon, granting it Acceleration ability to secure victory. Faust reveals that Dr. Manson uses Shobu's friends as Phantasmal Duelists, but Shobu counters that he acts similarly for Hakuoh. Faust forgives Shobu and faints, but when Shobu attempts to unlock the door with Faust's key, the bridge collapses, causing everyone to fall.
