Chihaya and Kagetsuya search for the fallen angel Sapphire in France while hiding secrets from visiting guests.

Chihaya and Kagetsuya are stationed in France when Aya and Miyagi arrive for a vacation. Their mission involves locating Sapphire, an exiled angel whose wings turned black due to cancer. Chihaya finds Sapphire and becomes entangled in the former High Angel's troubles, despite Kagetsuya’s concerns about Chihaya’s recurring suffering. The partners attempt to assist Sapphire while concealing their activities from their guests, but Chihaya’s erratic behavior alerts Aya. She begins to deduce the truth, knowing that fallen angels are viewed as a disgrace in Eden. Meanwhile, Chihaya hides a personal secret linked to his disturbing nightmares, fearing that Sapphire’s fate mirrors the abnormal discoloration of his own wings and hair.

Chihaya and Kagetsuya infiltrate Dr. Ashino's lab to rescue two black angel children held for interrogation. While searching, Chihaya finds a dormant black-winged angel named Messiah wired to the walls. Chihaya exposes his wings to attract attention, causing Messiah's memory chip to record the transformation and generate strange emotions. Messiah attempts to approach through the glass but remains trapped. An alarm sounds, forcing an immediate evacuation as the lab prepares to explode. Kagetsuya carries the rescued children, and their mother Elvira helps them escape in her car. Chihaya remains troubled by his failure to save Messiah. Later, Chihaya sees news of Dr. Ashino arriving in the city with a man in a trenchcoat, whom he recognizes as Messiah. Ashino, commissioned by the military to create the ultimate weapon, seeks revenge on the world for abandoning him after Taki left him.

Chihaya struggles to accept Messiah's disappearance despite Kagetsuya's efforts to comfort him, remaining fixated on the android. Meanwhile, Messiah works for drug dealers who value his strength, yet he yearns to reconnect with Chihaya. Utilizing his link to the global computer database, Messiah locates his friend. Chihaya detects the signal and flies to meet him in the sky. However, Ashino tracks Messiah and deploys agents to capture the runaway android. Messiah faces a critical decision: remain with Chihaya to explore his confusing emotions or surrender his freedom to ensure Chihaya's safety, thereby becoming the destructive weapon he was originally designed to be.
