Eve no Jikan: Are you enjoying the time of EVE?

In a near-future setting, likely in Japan, robots are widely used, and androids are newly integrated into society. Guided by the Robot Ethics Committee, people generally regard androids as appliances, despite their human-like appearances, marked only by a ring above their heads. Some individuals, however, develop an emotional attachment to androids, becoming a societal concern. Rikuo, a high school student, was raised to see androids as tools, not people. He notices unusual behavior in his family's android, Sammy, and investigates with his friend Masaki. Their search leads them to a café with a unique rule: humans and robots are to be treated equally.
