Seeking vengeance for a tanker attack, Morelli intends to destroy the aircraft carrier USS Arizona. Storm Force 9 is deployed to defend the vessel but initially fails to determine Morelli's method of attack. During the operation, a verbal slip reveals that the captain of an escort submarine is an alien impersonating the real officer. Recognizing the immediate threat, Storm Force 9 successfully destroys the compromised submarine before it can launch torpedoes at the Arizona, thereby preventing the planned destruction of the ship.
