Following a conversation with Zenko, Abeno and Ashiya visit a shrine rumored to host a yokai, where Ashiya is suddenly possessed by Sasa. Sasa explains that they were imprisoned for years by a golden-eyed, golden-haired human who used "influence" to defeat powerful yokai. Upon seeing Abeno, who resembles their captor, Sasa reveals malicious intent. Abeno employs his influence to render the possessed Ashiya unconscious, a act that only deepens Sasa's hatred. Later, Ashiya wakes up, but his strange demeanor and cold gaze cause Abeno to recall memories of another individual, hinting at unresolved connections between their pasts and current events.
