Komon employs Abeno and Ashiya to perform an exorcism on five bird yokai they have been managing. Since the youngest yokai, Chungo, cannot fly and is unlikely to survive in the Underworld, he remains with Komon. During a session where the yokai practice flying, Komon nearly falls from a bridge but is rescued by Chungo, who supposedly lacks the ability to fly. This unexpected rescue causes Abeno to suspect that something is wrong. The situation raises questions about why Chungo pretended to be unable to fly, leading Abeno to investigate the truth behind the deception.
