Judges decide to conduct a camera test for both Fullmoon and Madoka at the Mermaid Tear Image Character Audition, selecting the best candidate based on the results. Takuto departs after Mitsuki questions him about his past, with Meroko following to warn that shinigami are forbidden from remembering their previous lives. Madoka receives opportunities to improve her audition prospects. Mitsuki uses her whistle to summon Takuto but subsequently collapses and is hospitalized. The following day, she leaves the hospital while still ill, losing her whistle during the journey.
