Following the ascent of Crow's Peak by the mice, Gamba falls victim to an eagle's capture. He manages to break free from his captor, though the ordeal leaves him with injuries that significantly weaken his physical condition. During his vulnerable state, a solitary mountaineer encounters the young mouse and provides assistance for his recovery. This aid allows Gamba to regain sufficient strength to resume his journey up the mountain, ensuring he can continue his climb despite the setbacks he has endured.
