As the submarine travels south, Yoisho shares the story of his fatal confrontation with Noroi, an event that resulted in the loss of his right eye and required rescue by Gakusha. Following an encounter with a whale, the mice find themselves shipwrecked on a rock spire. They subsequently swim to reach a nearby island.
