Kishimoto scavenges at McDonald's while Kei regrets his words and fantasizes about her. An old woman returns, inspiring Kei to demand Gantz retrieve him. He arrives in a suit with nine new people, noting Tetsu is missing. A Buddhist priest claims the room is between heaven and hell, but the group realizes they are alive by feeling heartbeats and seeing Tokyo Tower outside. Jealous of Katou, Kei cries in a side room until Sakuraoka comforts him. He asks for sex, and she agrees. Kishimoto witnesses them but they continue as the group prepares. The globe instructs them to kill one red rowdy alien and one green grumpy alien, appearing as temple guards.
