A vampire capable of controlling bats with his guitar assaulted the chairman of the Hanabishi Conglomerate. Although the chairman survived and was taken to the hospital, the vampire enjoyed the taste of his blood so much that he sent flowers and a letter declaring his intention to return for more. Rather than involving the police, the chairman sought the assistance of Gegege no Kitaro to handle the supernatural threat.
