Kitarō suffers severe weakness after his Chanchanko is stolen, while Nezumi-Otoko remains under Backbeard’s mental control. In a final act of defiance, Kitarō strikes Backbeard’s eye with his last strength before collapsing. Seizing the opportunity, Backbeard commands a retreat to regroup.
