Kouya Marino aspires to become a Crush Gear Fighting champion, emulating his late older brother Yuhya Marino, who passed away shortly after winning the Asian Crush Gear Championship. The Tobita Crush Gear Club faces extinction because their star player, Takeshi Manganji, has quit to form a new team, taking all other members with him. In an effort to demonstrate his value and save the club, Kouya decides to challenge Takeshi directly to a duel. This narrative is based on the synopsis provided in the DVD release of the English dub.
