Ep. 11: Meteora Gibia attacks Dr. Yoshinaga while he works on the vaccine

The humanoid Meteora Gibia pursues human survivors until Kenroku and Sensui fail to stop it. Kenroku uses explosives to kill Meteora, but Dr. Yoshinaga reveals he is an alien and explains the Gibia virus's origin. He then infects Ayame and himself with the virus. Ayame transforms into a Gibia and kills Hamuro, Mikimoto, Sakuma, and Soshigaya, who dies protecting Hatonami. Sensui and Kenroku defeat the Ayame Gibia, yet Yoshinaga remains alive and continues his transformation into a monster.
