The Free Planets Alliance suffers a major defeat due to supply issues during its invasion of the Galactic Empire. Fleet Admiral Lazar Lobos refuses to withdraw and directs surviving fleets to the Amritsar Starzone for a last stand. Fleet Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm, a skilled strategist, leads the Empire's counteroffensive with a significant numerical advantage. Despite this, Vice Admiral Yang Wen-li, known for his tactical brilliance, compensates for his superiors' failures and orchestrates a narrow escape for his forces. Both Reinhard and Yang are dissatisfied with the battle's result—Reinhard due to his incomplete victory and Yang due to the heavy losses. They now face growing political instability within their respective factions.
