Ep. 42: Nobunobu assumes shogunate power as allies depart following the Shogun Assassination Arc conclusion

This is the overall episode number 307 of the Shogun Assassination Arc Part Eight. As the violent conflict concludes, Nobunobu ascends to the position of new shogun in Edo. Meanwhile, Shigeshige and Soyo leave the city to find safety elsewhere, taking the opportunity to say goodbye to the Yorozuya, the Shinsengumi, and the Oniwaban. During their escape, Shigeshige is poisoned by one of his guests and requires medical care. As his condition deteriorates and he approaches death, he experiences a sense of relief, feeling that he can finally rest in peace.
