In overall episode number 224, Gintoki attempts to sell a broken VHS deck at a recycle shop. He successfully trades the item for a modern Blu-ray player, but discovers a disc stuck inside. This disc turns out to be a cursed Blu-ray. Frightened by this discovery, Gintoki tries to return the player. However, he accidentally pushes the disc into the machine. The TV screen becomes covered in static. Suddenly, a woman appears on the display. This sequence of events transforms a simple trade into a supernatural encounter involving the cursed media.
