Jan 31, 2019Eagle interrupts a date between Kei and Minghua in Komatsu, revealing that Gripen is scheduled for scrapping. Kei rushes to the air base to reassure Gripen of his care before a massive Xi attack force approaches Japan. Although Yashirodōri permits them to defect, Gripen and Kei choose to fight together. Gripen initially fails to interface with her fighter, forcing Kei to take control. After he shoots down a Xi fighter, Gripen regains confidence and joins the battle alone. They defeat the hostile force, but Kei unexpectedly manages to interface with the plane's controls in a manner similar to an Anima.
