High school student and guitarist Ritsuka Uenoyama attempts to skip gym class to nap, only to discover Mafuyu Satō sleeping in his usual hiding spot. Mafuyu unexpectedly asks Ritsuka to repair and teach him how to play a Gibson ES-330 guitar. Ritsuka declines the request, initiating the narrative of this unlikely pair. The episode also introduces Ritsuka’s older sister, Yayoi Uenoyama, as well as his bandmates Haruki Nakayama, who plays bass, and Akihiko Kaji, who plays drums.
