On the day of the event, Yotsuba becomes confused by Futaro's sudden change in attitude, which persists until May. Amidst this unsettling atmosphere, Futaro and the quintuplets end up separated from one another. This separation provides each sister with an opportunity to spend time alone with him, as they all seek a chance to be by his side during the excursion.
