Sakuya triggers a trap killing guild members, leading to a bounty hunt and AI corruption in The World R:X.
Jan 28, 2011In 2022, Asumi, Eri, and Iori play The World R:X as Sakuya, Mary, and Tobias. Sakuya accidentally kills members of Shamrock's guild during The One Sin event. Iori discovers a bounty on their characters posted by Iyoten and Asta. Sakuya hides in Mac Anu, meeting Hermit, but they are captured. Mary and Tobias arrive to help. Hermit repairs damage while the trio fights Iyoten and Asta. Shamrock intervenes, revealing Iyoten and Asta posted the bounty. Iyoten kills Hermit, transporting everyone to an area with a corrupting AI. Tobias logs off, but Sakuya cannot. Mary attacks the AI and gets corrupted. Sakuya attempts to help but is knocked out.

Hermit seeks corrupted players while Asumi recovers from long gaming session
Feb 25, 2011Hermit awakens in a strange area where players are corrupted by AI, hiring Geek to create a list to identify them. In the real world, Asumi and Eri wake up in a hospital after playing too long, though Asumi experiences tingling in her right hand. Sakuya finds Hermit’s original list and, with Iori, is contacted by Reiko Saeki, the player behind Shamrock. Shamrock reveals the list compares player haplotypes to a deceased American boy from seven years ago. Hermit overhears this, becomes enraged, and destroys Geek’s bar. Shamrock demonstrates the list’s hacking capabilities, showing Sakuya is a compatible donor. Suddenly, data bugs overrun the Mac Anu, causing a dead tree with caged players to grow into town. Corrupted Eri attacks Sakuya, but Shamrock uses an area attack to kill the players in the zone, forcing them out of the game before the bugs can kill them.

Tobias investigates a forum post, witnessing players feel pain and encountering massive data bugs. Iori is pulled into the event, leading defenses until Sakuya arrives. Sakuya accidentally deletes a bug with her lost hand, aiding escape from an animated statue. Hermit causes chaos by deleting a player and destroying an airship. Shamrock detains Geek, showing him footage of the destruction and hacking the crest gun. Hermit reveals Sakuya is awaited and messages her about Eri's location in Megin Fi. Shamrock ties Sakuya up and sends Tobias to Megin Fi to find the heart controlling the issue. Tobias is captured by Eri, while Sakuya breaks free and rushes toward the chaos gate.
