Simultaneously, Briggs Fortress assaults Central Command Headquarters. Mustang incinerates mannequin soldiers surrounding Edward’s group, while May lures Envy into a trap, causing both to fall into the lower chamber. Envy admits to killing Hughes, provoking Mustang to unleash a massive fire attack. Edward worries that Mustang’s rage will consume him as Envy realizes he cannot win and attempts to flee. Seeing Hawkeye approach for backup, Envy devises a plan. The episode concludes with Mustang encountering Hawkeye, who points a gun at his back.
