Aired on January 25, 2020

3
Guided by Coach Ukai’s reminder not to underestimate the role of a ball boy, Hinata approaches his training with renewed clarity. He focuses on improving his reception by analyzing the spikers’ body forms, a technique he originally mastered during middle school. To further develop his split form, Hinata volunteers to take on the receiving side during personal practice sessions. Meanwhile, at Karasuno High, the team engages in a practice match against Tokonami High to refine their serving abilities. The players recognize their preference for the penalty system regardless of the match outcome. Concurrently, Kageyama continues his regimen at the National Youth Camp, where he unconsciously adjusts his toss to be higher than usual.
