Amano inadvertently signs up for the Club Singing contest, angering Okiku until the group decides to train her. Training reveals Amano is tone deaf, despite a promising private performance for Kikunosuke the night before the event. On contest day, Okiku tries to substitute for Amano, but their argument causes the set to collapse, postponing the competition. This delay allows Okiku to understand the cause of Amano's condition. During the rescheduled event, with the Happy Seven cheering and Kikunosuke watching from backstage, Amano sings beautifully. Okiku realizes that Amano possesses genuine talent but can only sing well for the person she loves.
