Yōto asks Tsukiko for help locating his house, frustrating Azusa who traveled to Okinawa with Morii and Moyama expecting Yōto to join them for a reconciliation. As rain begins, Tsukiko invites Yōto to stay overnight, leading to awkward encounters when Tsukushi returns and finds him after his bath. Later, Yōto overhears Tsukushi sleep-talking about her fear of Tsukiko leaving. In Okinawa, Morii collapses with a fever but is cared for by Azusa and Moyama, after which the two apologize and reaffirm their friendship. Back at the Tsutsukakushi residence, Yōto hides from Tsukushi and discovers a large stony cat statue among his belongings in the storehouse.
