Yuno has long wanted to attend Yamabuki Arts High School, but being accepted means leaving home for the first time. She finds comfort in the Hidamari Apartments, where many residents are also art students. Upperclassmen Hiro and Sae attempt to act as supportive older sisters, while her energetic classmate and friend Miyako lives in a chaotic apartment. Yuno navigates life with an androgynous landlady, a teacher obsessed with cosplay, a nervous principal, and other unusual people within the art world.
