Ep. 13: The eighth and final chapter of the Massacre arc concludes with Rika's tragic sacrifice.

After Rika and Satoko escape their home, the Yamainu corner them in the forest. Mion, Shion, Rena, and Keiichi rescue the pair, but Takano ambushes the group. Takano and the Yamainu systematically shoot and kill each member, leaving Rika last. Rika requests execution without anesthesia to memorize the culprit's identity and break the cycle of death. She is killed and gutted. The spirits of the deceased and Hanyuu agree that Hanyuu must also break the cycle. Meanwhile, villagers are gassed to death at the school while Takano celebrates her ascension to godhood.
