Ep. 2: Kenshiro avenges Smith by defeating Spade with Hokuto Zankaiken in the desert village

Kenshiro rescues elderly farmer Smith from Spade, a Four Jacks member working for the mysterious King. Smith intends to deliver rice seeds to his village for future harvests. Ken and Bat escort Smith home, unaware that Spade is pursuing them. Spade, seeking revenge for losing an eye in a previous encounter with Ken, attacks the village and kills Smith. Enraged by this death, Ken defeats Spade using the Hokuto Zankaiken technique, which forces victims to repent for seven seconds before a gruesome demise. Following the battle, Ken plants Smith’s seeds over his grave, honoring the old man’s hope for the future amidst the barren desert surroundings.
