Hina practices light rock fishing and follows Makoto's advice to fish near the wall, successfully catching a scorpionfish. She struggles to remove the hook because of the fish's spines, but Natsumi assists her. With midterms approaching, Hina visits Natsumi's home to study. This is the first time she has met Natsumi's mother, who owns a Western-style restaurant, since returning to Ashikita. The pair spends the entire day preparing for their exams. Natsumi shows particular interest in a felt horse mackerel plush that Hina knitted herself.
