Following Meruem's death, East Gorteau is classified as a genocide-suicide, with the Mitene Union governing the region and the NGL becoming a Hunter Association nature reserve. Surviving Chimera Ants disperse; Welfin, Hina, and Bizeff travel to Meteor City to find Gyro, while Bloster stays in the NGL with Shidore, who is recognized as Reina by Haruna. Morel receives a call from Colt regarding the Queen's last child. Meanwhile, Gon lies near death after his battle with Neferpitou. Killua leaves the hospital to save Gon, instructing Knov to gather doctors for surgery. Simultaneously, the Hunter Association Zodiacs, including Ging, convene to organize the presidential election following Netero's final message.
