The group informs Celestine about Klem, relieving her concern that the Demon Lord is evil. Separated from Shera and Diablo, Alicia betrays Rem and Klem to Saddler, leading to their arrest. Alicia intends to traumatize Klem to force a return to her original state. Saddler transports the captives to a church, planning to torture Rem into confessing to worshipping a Demon Lord. Meanwhile, Diablo and Shera search for the missing pair as a massive Fallen army advances on Faltra City. Klem attempts to protect Rem, but when Saddler attacks, Rem shields Klem and is impaled multiple times. Enraged, Klem reverts to her demon form, kills Saddler, and destroys the church. Diablo and Shera arrive as Klem begins to rampage.
