Ep. 8: The group visits Sevenwall, faces Church corruption, and surrenders on holy ground.
The party reaches the Royal Capital, Sevenwall, where Alicia Crystella intervenes with guards and hosts them at her inn. Rose feels jealous but accepts Alicia’s devotion to Diablo. Horn desires strength, prompting Rose to suggest a slave contract with Diablo, though Rem and Shera warn of fatal risks, leading Horn to refuse. Alicia agrees to investigate Head Cardinal Vishos, noting legal limitations against the Church. Rose requests magical recharge from Diablo, causing embarrassment. Alicia later reveals Vishos’s embezzlement and murders, but Lumachina chooses excommunication over destruction. At the holy ground, Vishos accuses Lumachina of lying, turning guards and worshipers against the group. Horn flees in fear. Lumachina forbids combat on holy ground, forcing the group to surrender and travel via levitating platform to the floating church.
