Samurai Soemon and diviner Doshun, hailing from rival Western Continent nations, exchange insults upon meeting but quickly reconcile after sharing their mutual favorite dish, okonomiyaki. Following this encounter, the narrative shifts to Ilzegant, a young elf magician residing in isolation on his deceased parents' sky island sanctuary. He discovers a Nekoya door and is served a shaved ice special. This culinary experience inspires him to attempt replicating the recipe, marking a significant shift from his previously secluded life.
