Isewan Taifuu Monogatari

A powerful typhoon hit Japan's coast on September 26, 1959, with wind speeds reaching 305 km/h. Known by several names including Vera and Isewan Typhoon, it caused more than 5,000 deaths or disappearances and over 30,000 injuries, marking the highest number of casualties from a typhoon in Japan during the 20th century. An animated film was created 30 years later to honor those who died and those who survived the disaster.
