Ep. 29: Marie Desperately Seeks a Magic Gem Amidst Hunger and Distractions

Marie, Nobara, and Mutsumi visit the Jewelpet Cafe to discuss Marie’s intense desire for a Magic Gem with Chiari and the others. While the group acknowledges her honesty, Marie uses this goal as an excuse while secretly observing them. During concentration training, Marie is repeatedly annoyed by a passing Clownfish Jewelpet named Aqua, who steals Mutsumi's honey chews. Meanwhile, Ruby, Angela, Labra, and Rossa promote Manjū cakes on the academy grounds. Chiari attempts to buy cakes but crashes into Ruby after tripping on a Nameko Mushroom. Marie’s focus breaks due to hunger and Aqua’s presence, leading her to chase the fish in a delusional state. Nobara, Mutsumi, and Chiari worry about Marie’s desperate determination, prompting Sanada to offer Chiari advice on how to help her friend.
