After escaping Venice, the group flies an airplane piloted by Abbacchio using Moody Blues. Mista kills Stand user Carne, but his Stand, Notorious B.I.G., activates post-mortem and attaches to Giorno. This entity absorbs energy from moving targets, severely injuring Mista and Narancia. Giorno destroys the Stand by sacrificing his arms, rendering Gold Experience unable to heal or fight. Bucciarati brings the wounded into the turtle. Trish remains safe when she stands still, but Giorno’s left arm, transformed into a brooch, moves and attracts the Stand’s attention.
