The group manages to secure an airplane after escaping Venice, with Abbacchio using Moody Blues to fly the plane by replaying its pilot. As they prepare to leave, Mista shoots down a hostile Stand user named Carne before he can reach them. During the flight, Giorno discovers that Carne's Stand Notorious B.I.G. has activated after his death and the flesh-eating blob attaches itself to his arm. The Stand tracks its foes by their movement and then absorbs their energy. After it severely injures Mista and Narancia because of their movement, Giorno manages to dispose of it at the cost of his arms. Since Gold Experience's powers come from its fists, Giorno can no longer fight nor heal the wounds of himself, Mista or Narancia. Bucciarati relays the attack to Abbacchio and takes the wounded inside the turtle. Alone, Trish is approached by Notorious B.I.G. which had attached itself to the airplane, but it stops when she stands still. The Stand then moves off and she notices that one of Giorno's brooches is moving because Giorno had turned his left arm into the brooch before he cut it off, providing way for him, Mista and Narancia to recover.
