On the first day of high school, Akane Ota, Shiori Saginomiya, and Nozomu Tanaka discover their new institution is exclusively for girls, which ruins Nozomu's hopes of meeting boys. Their teacher, Sawatari, delivers a strange and emotional speech stating a preference for college students. Nozomu attempts to find a handsome male classmate by asking others for introductions. She proceeds to assign nicknames to her peers but has difficulty choosing one for herself. The episode concludes with Nozomu describing her ideal scenario for meeting a boyfriend who considers her an interesting woman, while Akane and Shiori decide to call her Baka.
