Ep. 12: Tomoe Proposes Marriage to Nanami at the Year God Shrine

Nanami learns independence from her dying mother due to her absent father. Tomoe visits her childhood memories, taking young Nanami away from Mizuki. During a town stroll, Nanami asks if Tomoe loves her, and he confirms before proposing marriage, which she accepts. Mizuki then removes Nanami, leaving Tomoe upset that she cannot remember him in the fantasy. Nanami lacks photos of her mother, burned in a past fire. At the Year God Shrine, they find the path blocked by sheep with excessive wool. Nanami calms the animals, allowing the Lord Year God to trim them. The deity provides a talisman and a picture of her mother. As life normalizes, Nanami recalls the childhood marriage promise was made to Tomoe. She states she likely will not marry, causing Tomoe to blush.
