As Shiori's birthday approaches, Yuichi resolves to maximize the time he has left with her. One week prior to the celebration, Shiori receives medical clearance to return to school for the remainder of the week, allowing her to participate as a regular student. During this period, Kaori continues to avoid Shiori. She also warns Yuichi that Shiori may not survive long after her birthday passes, adding urgency to Yuichi's efforts to spend quality time with her before the inevitable happens.
