Concerned about the safety of Mai and Yuichi, Sayuri’s anxiety prompts Mai to attempt to drive her away as a protective measure. On the occasion of Mai’s birthday, Sayuri encounters Yuichi in town, where she shares details regarding her family circumstances prior to meeting Mai. Later that evening, Sayuri visits the school intending to surprise Mai. However, while at the school grounds, she is suddenly attacked by the creatures that roam the area.
