Ep. 2: Pinocchio faces exploitation by Sneeroff and seeks freedom to help his father.

After the first episode, Sneeroff forces Pinocchio to perform without pay, threatening to burn him like other worn puppets. Inspired by the Cricket, Pinocchio aims to earn money for his father, but Sneeroff refuses payment and plans to keep him captive. Pinocchio attempts to steal the key while Sneeroff sleeps, refusing to leave without funds and the other puppets. His escape is hindered when a puppet wakes Sneeroff, leading to a chase where fellow puppets sacrifice themselves by tangling his legs. Pinocchio escapes as the ice breaks. Still sorrowful about his situation, he wishes to be human. The Oak Fairy appears, stating he can become human by learning honesty and compassion, but advises him to return home first. Pinocchio reunites tearfully with his father and heads to school the next day, distracted by a girl’s mention of a fun outing.
