Ep. 3: Geppetto warns Pinocchio about river dangers while Charlie plots to harm him for attention.

As spring arrives, Geppetto cautions Pinocchio against approaching the river due to the risk of falling over the waterfall. Meanwhile, Charlie the mouse grows jealous of the attention Pinocchio receives. The Cricket offers guidance, but Pinocchio ignores him. After receiving praise for his school grades, Charlie resolves to eliminate the puppet. He conspires with Jack the Fox and Willie the Weasel, promising them deviled egg sandwiches from Pinocchio's lunch. They lure Pinocchio to the river under the pretense of watching a spring mole wrestling tournament. Despite the Cricket's efforts to keep him on the right path, Jack takes the lunch box and Charlie pushes Pinocchio into the water. Pinocchio is saved from the waterfall by the Cricket and the Oak fairy. He returns home exhausted and develops a fever. Geppetto treats him, but while Geppetto is away gathering herbs, Charlie attempts to cut off Pinocchio's head. The Cricket thwarts this, but Charlie eventually throws him aside and attempts to bite through the puppet's neck.
