Keroro Gunsou

Sergeant Keroro, a Keronian alien, is captured by the Hinata family and forced into domestic servitude on Earth.

Sergeant Keroro, a frog-like extraterrestrial from Keron, arrives on Earth, known to his species as Pekopon, with orders to invade. Instead of conquering the planet, he is captured by the Hinata family and reduced to a pet tasked with household chores. The family includes the paranormal enthusiast Fuyuki, his hot-tempered sister Natsumi, and their mother Aki, who works as a manga editor. Keroro occupies a basement room that he renovates into a command center, unaware it is haunted. A prequel segment depicts the family’s initial discovery and capture of Keroro during a scouting mission. Fuyuki mishandles the Keroball, Keroro’s weapon, inadvertently transmitting a signal to the Keronian fleet. The fleet abandons Keroro rather than rescuing him, leaving him to serve the Hinatas.

Giroro sets traps for the Hinatas while Keroro becomes berserk due to humidity changes.

In the first segment, Giroro grows frustrated with the invasion's lack of progress and sets traps for the Hinata family using gathered intelligence. He immobilizes Keroro and Fuyuki, but Natsumi easily defeats the traps with brute strength and knocks out Giroro. In the second segment, Giroro suspects Keroro's lost interest in the Pekoponian invasion stems from humidity differences between Earth and Keron. He and Tamama install humidifiers in Keroro's room, which drastically increases his intelligence and strength. However, rain causes the room to become overly humid, making Keroro go berserk. A Nyororo, a natural enemy of the Keronians, is attracted by the humidity and feeds on the moisture Keroro absorbed, returning him to normal.
