Ep. 23: Kira misses battle as Cagalli and Athrun crash on same island

ZAFT submarine forces commanded by Marco Morassim engage Kira, preventing him from joining Mu and Cagalli in their FX-550 Skygraspers. Cagalli’s aircraft sustains damage and retreats, but she encounters Athrun’s transport plane. Her Skygrasper is shot down, yet it manages to destroy the transport plane before crashing. This forces Athrun to eject from the disabled aircraft while piloting his Aegis. Consequently, both pilots are stranded on the same deserted island after the incident.
