Cagalli is shocked to encounter Athrun on a deserted island. She attempts to attack him but is overpowered and taken captive. After the conflict subsides, the two engage in a discussion regarding the ongoing war and their personal motivations for fighting. As the sun rises, they are rescued by their respective comrades.
