The two engage in an intense battle where Akaza offers Rengoku the chance to become a demon. Rengoku firmly rejects this proposal, yet his body is already exhausted and pushed beyond its physical limits due to previous injuries. The confrontation highlights the severe toll the ongoing conflict takes on Rengoku as he fights to protect Tanjiro and uphold his principles against the powerful demon.
