Max, Ursula, Zander, and Ed compete to obtain a Spinosaurus card found in Egypt. Simultaneously, Rex and Zoe receive their dinosaur partners, a Carnotaurus named Ace and a Parasaurolophus named Paris. A significant battle ensues, during which Chomp suffers injuries but is restored to health by Paris using the Nature's Blessing move card. Ursula successfully acquires the Spinosaurus card. Despite this, Terry and Spiny are defeated by Chomp and Ace in the conflict. The episode concludes with the resolution of these rivalries and the establishment of the new partnerships for Rex and Zoe.
