Max and Chomp narrowly defeat Zoe and Rex in a ninja village contest requiring teamwork with pet partners. Later, during a Dino Trooper Ninja show, a card featuring three Deinonychus activates. Dr. Z discovers this event and travels to the location accompanied by Ursula, Zander, and Ed. A chase ensues through an underground maze. Dr. Z eventually confronts his trio of Deinonychus named Dino, Dano, and Sue, who are displeased to see him. To ensure Dr. Z's safety during the encounter, Zander summons Terry to provide protection. The group navigates the dangerous situation as the dinosaurs react negatively to their former owner's presence.
